| St. Mary’s Hospital – South Tower Vertical Expansion Project was selected by McGraw-Hill’s Mid-Atlantic Construction Magazine as one of the “Best of 2007” Project in the Mid-Atlantic region. Other primary selection criteria for the award were as follows: Exceptional Teamwork, Innovative Solutions and Approaches. After deliberating over a record number of entries, the jury focused on those projects that best achieved the established goals of the project team; overcame significant challenges; adopted innovative approaches; and exhibited exceptional teamwork. Jurors were allowed to award one Project of the Year per category and multiple Awards of Merit. Jurors could choose to not award a Project of the Year or Awards of Merit in the categories. The jurors, who represent owners, architects, engineers and general contractors, are all active members of the local building community. General Contractors were asked by McGraw-Hill in New York City to submit projects to be considered for their “Best of 2007” Construction Awards. McGraw-Hill was looking for projects where the Construction Company best achieved the Owner’s project goals.
