Description:
The project consists of approx. 36 acres site with a 225,000 SF shell building expandable to 390,000 SF. Approx. 10,000 SF of office space. The project is constructed with 30' clear tilt up concrete structure with 25 dock locations and cross dock capabilities. The building has nearly $2M in Racking and Conveyor systems to handle the very fast paced distribution operations to their nearly 300 combined retail locations.

Big Dog/Walking Companies was reviewing opportunities for reducing their over all distribution expenses and to increase their distribution operations from 140,000 SF to 225,000 SF.

Big Dog Management reviewed nationally and worked with Regional Representatives to locate sites in the Charlotte region.

Matrix was hired to refine the scope of work and evaluated sites, developer's proposals, manage the overall construction, as well as client needs.

Through our efforts on properly evaluating sites and development properties we were able to reduce Big Dog lease cost by nearly $500,000 over a 10-year period.
